Sometimes in daily life a colour repetitions occur. For me this is a trigger to a 'psychosis': I have to take a photo. And after this occurrence of colour rhyme I get into colour neurosis. Whatever I went out for with my camera is forgotten, my mind is fixated on colour.

Chromatopsychosis is an ongoing project. The short selection shown here is taken between 2007 and 2010 in Amsterdam. All photo's are accidental occurrences of colour repetitions. A split second of city life.

Uit triest stemmende stadsgezichten haalt zij de schoonheid naar voren. In de serie Kleur Psychose bevindt de kijker zich op een filmset waar de omgeving door regisseurs onverwacht is voorzien van de juiste kleurschakeringen, door medewerkers goed doordachte props zijn geplaatst en de passanten perfecte acteurs blijken. Een trieste straat tovert Mathilde µP om in een feest voor het oog en een balsem voor de gekrenkte trots van de stad.
